While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

OCHA: Number of Palestinian children killed by Israeli forces trippled

Thursday 15-August-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The number of Palestinian children killed by Israeli gunfire has almost trippled since October 7 compared with the preceding 10 months, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Palestinian occupied territories (OCHA) said in a report issued on Wednesday.

The number of Palestinian children injured by live ammunition fired by Israeli occupation forces has more than doubled since October 7 compared with the preceding 10 months (1,411 compared to 615), the report pointed out.

“Between 7 October 2023 and 12 August 2024, 594 Palestinians were killed in the West Bank, including Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), in addition to two who died of wounds sustained prior to 7 October.”

“These include 577 killed by Israeli occupation forces, ten by Israeli settlers, and seven where it remains unknown whether the perpetrators were Israeli forces or settlers.”

The Palestinian death toll from the ongoing Israeli genocide war on the Gaza Strip has risen to nearly 40,000, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

During the past 24 hours, the Israeli forces killed 36 people and wounded 54 others, bringing the total death toll to 39,965 and injuries to 92,294 since the Israeli war broke out in early October 2023.

UNRWA chief: 625,000 children in Gaza lost one year of school

Thursday 15-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

About 625,000 children, including 300,000 UNRWA students, have lost one year of school, Philippe Lazzarini, commissioner-general of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), said on social media platform X on Wednesday.

“Four in five school buildings in Gaza have been directly hit or damaged. They need to be rebuilt or fixed to be used as schools,” Lazzarini added.

Nearly 70% of UNRWA schools have been hit, he said, highlighting the blatant disregard for international humanitarian law.

“95% of these schools were being used as shelters for displaced people when they were hit.”

The UN official further pointed out that this war is also affecting tens of thousands of children in the West Bank.

The longer children stay out of school, the more difficult it becomes for them to catch up on learning losses, he concluded.

Four-year-old child dies of malnutrition in Gaza

Thursday 15-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Four-year-old Leena Al-Shaikh Khaleel tragically died on Wednesday of malnutrition and lack of medical treatment in light of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war and the deliberate closure of border crossings in the Gaza Strip.

Family sources affirmed that the little girl died due to malnutrition at Shuhada Aqsa Hospital as a result of the ongoing war and blockade.

“The little girl was living in a tent that lacked the most basic necessities of life, amid high temperatures and difficult health conditions,” her uncle said.

“Lina needed special healthy food such as fruits and natural juices, some vitamins, and medicines that were not available due to the war,” he added.

Lina’s death has brought the total number of victims of malnutrition in the Gaza Strip to 37, including children.

UNRWA Commissioner-General calls for ceasefire so that "every woman in Gaza restores some of their dignity"

NEW YORK, Thursday, August 15, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, stressed the need for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip "so that every woman and girl there can regain some of her dignity."

Lazzarini added in a post on X that "women & girls can often spend months without taking a shower, going through several menstrual cycles without washing up."

"They have to cut their hair very short due to lice, lack of shampoo, not enough water or combs," he added.

Lazzarini continued "many said they don’t feel safe, have no privacy or dignity in overcrowded shelters & displacement sites. They skip going to the toilet & therefore avoid eating or drinking water."

He pointed out that some women have been wearing the same headscarf for 10 months, and that they "struggle to see themselves as women."

"Women in Gaza are telling our teams they are struggling to see themselves as women. One woman said: “I don’t feel I’m a woman anymore”. This is another aspect of the deepening dehumanization of this war," Lazzarini noted.

"A ceasefire for every girl & woman in Gaza also to restore some of their dignity," he concluded.

Thursday 15-August-2024

NABLUS, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) killed two Palestinians and injured four others in a drone attack on the Balata refugee camp in Nablus city in the northern West Bank on Thursday morning.

Local sources said that an Israeli drone targeted with at least one missile a gathering of citizens in the Balata camp, killing the ex-prisoner Wa-il Meesha and the young man A'hmed Shaikh Khaleel, both from the refugee camp.

Another one suffered from gunshot injury in the thigh, while a fourth suffered from shrapnel wounds, the sources added.

The drone strike took place as IOFs raided the Balata camp in eastern Nablus, triggering clashes with local residents.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said Israeli forces hindered the movement of the ambulances transferring the injured to hospital, and tried to arrest an injured young man.

During the raid, the Israeli forces deliberately destroyed residents’ vehicles and the Martyrs’ Monument.

The IOFs raid came to secure illegal Israeli Jewish settlers’ incursion into Joseph’s Tomb in the city.

Israeli occupation forces carried out a series of detentions across the West Bank last night and early this morning, kidnapping 30 Palestinians, most of them from the Hebron district in the south of the West Bank.

Witnesses reported that the detainees and their families were subjected to threats, and extensive damage was inflicted on their homes during the raids. The Israeli occupation forces also engaged in widespread property destruction.
